Laura Berry MSN, RN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, CWON graduated from Villanova University in 2006 with a BSN, working as a medical/surgical nurse at Rhode Island Hospital and there became a leader within the Skin Wound Assessment Team (SWAT). She then attended LaSalle University from 2008-2009 for a post-baccalaureate certification in wound, ostomy, and continence care. During and following this time she worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical center in dual roles as a Solid Organ Transplant Nurse and Wound-Ostomy Nurse from 2008-2010. Laura attended Northeastern University from 2010-2013 for her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner, during this time she worked in conjunction at MGH as 1 of 3 wound ostomy nurses, covering inpatient, outpatient, OR and ER settings. After graduating she then spent the 4 years working as a Primary Care Provider in her FNP role with North Shore Physicians Group, while continuing to support her wound-ostomy background by seeing office-based wounds and ostomies. She joined Care Dimension in August of 2017 and has been serving our full territory, functioning as our Wound Ostomy Care Specialist and Nurse Practitioner. During this time, she has created multiple continuing education services for the nursing and nurse practitioner staff in both the hospice and palliative care branches.
