Virginia (Ginger) Marshall, MSN, ACNP-BC, ACHPN, FPCN is the CEO for HPNA, HPCC, and HPNF. Her previous leadership roles include Director of Palliative Care at University of Utah Hospital and Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. During her service at University of Utah she successfully authored and managed a large grant from the Hearst Foundation resulting in the establishment of in-patient comfort suites, nursing education, and an annual Palliative Care conference. She also served as Senior Vice President of Palliative Care for a large national hospice organization where she established 13 community palliative care programs across the US. She has delivered Palliative Care presentations at national forums, including The Institute of Medicine Roundtable on Health Literacy. Her volunteer work includes service on the Board for both HPCC and HPNA in the roles of both director and president. She is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Care and is a Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing. Her first job in nursing was working as a nursing assistant in a neonatal intensive care unit.
