Dillon Stein DO

Dr. Dillon Stein is a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship-trained physician currently serving as the Medical Director of Butler Health System's Division of Palliative Care.

Born in Southwestern Pennsylvania he has close ties with the region and the people within it. At Butler Health System (BHS), Dillon leads the Division of Palliative Care to provide an interdisciplinary approach focused on optimizing quality of life for individuals and families coping with serious and life-threatening illnesses. The interdisciplinary approach includes supports for medical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. The division works to provide palliative care to patients and families living in rural and non-rural areas of the region through hospital consultations, an outpatient clinic setting, creating community connections, and virtual/telemedicine modalities

In addition to the clinical skills and directorship relating to Palliative Care, Dillon has also had leadership opportunities at Butler Health System including a seat on the BHS Innovation Team and a term as Chair of Department of Medicine, amongst other committees and taskforces.

Dillon's interests lie in maintaining the human side of medicine through his practice, and simultaneously dreaming and searching for innovative ideas that highlight the human experience as the cornerstone.
