Cinnamon Tucker DNP, FNP

Dr. “Cinnamon” was born, raised, and practices in New Orleans, Louisiana. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and Doctor of Nursing Practice as a family nurse practitioner from Louisiana State University. She has been in the hospice and palliative medicine specialty since 2005. She has maintained certification in hospice and palliative medicine, as an RN and NP. Cinnamon is employed full time by University Medical Center in New Orleans providing both inpatient and outpatient palliative medicine services. She also provides home hospice visits for face-to-face evaluations and acute symptom management.

Cinnamon sits on the board of the Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care Association. She is active in her local HPNA chapter as well as state nurse practitioner association. Her passion is education and training the next generation to pursue competency and certification in hospice and palliative medicine. She believes everyone with a life-threatening illness should have access to palliative and end of life care. No one should die suffering, and to die suffering is inhumane.
