B. Elias Snyder (he/they) is a practicing nurse practitioner working at the intersections of palliative and end of life care, global health, social justice, and health equity. He is the Director of the Office of Global Health at University of Maryland School of Nursing and has spent the majority of the last decade in East Africa. His PhD work focuses on bridging diverse perspectives of palliative and EOL care with Western models through a lens of neuro-decolonization, while honoring Traditional Knowledge and Ancestral Wisdom. Elias is a Buddhist, activist, and is really trying to wean off coffee.
